International Schnitger Organ Competition 2019

Between June 21th and June 28th the International Schnitger Organ Competition will take place for the 13th time, played on the organs of the Grote Sint Laurenskerk and the Kapelkerk in Alkmaar. The competition consists of three rounds, all open to the public.

Participation

Professional organists and far-advanced organ students, who are born later than 30th June 1982, may participate in the competition.

Prizes

1st prize: € 5000 (Schnitger prize)

2nd prize: € 2500 (Flentrop prize)

3rd prize: € 1000 (Johan Knibbe prize)

Also, a special prize (the Izaak Kingma prize) will be awarded by the public
