Clemens Lucke

Clemens Lucke, born in 1986, studied church music and organ at the ?Hochschule für Musik und Theater? in Leipzig (organ with Stefan Engels, Holger Gehring, Daniel Beilschmidt and David Timm). From 2008 to 2012 he was artistic assistant to the University Music Director David Timm in the Leipzig University Choir. He took part in masterclasses with Jean-Claude Zehnder, Bine Katrine Bryndorf and Hans-Ola Ericcson. In 2013 he was appointed as cantor and organist at Petrikirche Freiberg, which contains the famous organ by Gottfried Silbermann from 1735. In the following year he was elected Vice President of the Gottfried-Silbermann-Gesellschaft. In this capacity he is initiator and artistic director of the annual Youth-Organ-Camp, which has been taking place in 2021. In addition to his musical activities in the classical field, his passion is the accompaniment of silent films. He can thus be seen regularly at the historic Welte cinema organ from 1931 in the Grassi Museum in Leipzig.
